Design, plan, conduct & self-evaluate field exercises for water related, forest firefighting and for
CBRN detection and sampling capacities.
THE EXERCISES
Training and exercises programmes have been established with a view to
enhance the coordination of civil protection assistance interventions by
ensuring improved compatibility and interoperability between the
intervention teams and other intervention support as well as by
developing the competence of the experts involved.
The exercise programme comprises full-scale field exercises, as well as
more specific exercises for modules, other response capacities, experts
and Technical Assistant Support Team (TAST). In addition, the
Mechanism also provides for the organisation of a system of exchange of
experts.
The main objectives for module exercises as set out below
shall be the main focus of exercise design, planning and conduct. The six
main objectives below shall be taken in the context of capacities
responding under the UCPM to an international disaster, which may be
inside or outside Europe.
